2021 Free Volleyball Clinic (Beach & Indoor)

The Catawba Volleyball programs will be offering a Free Beach/Indoor Volleyball Clinic to the community for all high school and middle school girls and boys during their 1st Annual Beach Bash Fund Raiser. In addition, Catawba will be hosting Erskine in a Beach doubleheader competition at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. For information and to purchase tickets for the Low Country Boil and Entertainment go to: connect.catawba.edu/beachbash.

The clinic will be a great environment to introduce young players to the Beach Volleyball Game and to further develop the game and skills of those players who have been playing Beach Volleyball. During the Indoor portion of the Cllinic, we will introduce & review necessary tecnical movement skills that allow players to keep improving and play at the next level.  There are some skills that are overlapping between Beach & Indoor and some skills that are different. The premium will be on learning and applying the skills of Beach & Indoor Volleyball through skill introduction & development, multi-contact drills, situation & tactical drills, and end with some competitive sessions to apply to the learned skills. The clinic will be fun and challenging!

Social Distancing and Safety Protocols

• Campers will check-in at the Beach Courts Facility.  The Beach Courts Facility is located to the back and side of Abernathy Gym and across from the Football Stadium.  There is a parking lot between Abernathy Gym and the Beach Courts Facility. Please walk up to the fencing and wait for our staff to call you over.  Please practice social distancing.
• For maps & directions go to:  www.catawba.edu then under “Campus Information”. 
• Only the Camper is to enter the fencing and be on the inside of the Beach Courts Facility.  Parents may set up chairs on the outside of the fencing.
• All staff and participants will go through screening when they arrive at the camp to see if they have any symptoms. We will be using the questionnaire provided by the North Carolina Heath and Human Services.
• Temperatures will be taken upon arrival.
• If a participant has any symptoms they will be asked to either stay in their room or to leave the camp.
• Please have Hand Sanitizer to sanitize your hands before & after each session.
• We will be cleaning the balls at the end of each session.
